Twitter.com the world’s second largest social network finally included a real Pop-up notification display. It aims to keep users updated and make their Twitter experience much interactive. Michael Ducker said that real-time notification will notify users when someone is engaging with their tweets. Users can now customize the notifications through the Setting menu on Twitter.com.
“When you’re logged in on twitter.com, you will receive notifications if someone has replied, favorited or retweeted one of your Tweets. You can also receive notifications for direct messages and new followers. They’re fully interactive, so that you can reply, favorite, retweet, and follow right from the notification. We’ll be rolling this feature out over the coming weeks,” Ducker said.
This feature will be rolled out to all users within the coming weeks. Users can now receive for new followers and direct messages. Pop-up notification is fully interactive. It will no longer bore the users with just browsing through pages of celebrity tweeter at the same time it makes user part of the whole social networking. To make sure that it’s turned on, users can go directly to the setting page and choose the type of notification they want to receive from Twitter.com.
It’s now the right time that Twitter adopted in-browser notification just like what Facebook had for quite a long time ago. Pop-up notification is already a tried and tested method of not only retaining users, but also indulging them to spend more time on the website. Twitter had tried a few features to let user know the visibility of their tweets.
Everyone is looking forward to this new feature and hopefully it will make Twitter experience more accessible and would increase the number of Twitter users.
